MSDN Academic Alliance Software
The Computer Science Department maintains an instutitional membership in the MSDNAA. What this means for our students is that you have access (free of charge) to all the latest Microsoft development tools. Note: you do NOT need to be a CpSc major - only to be registered in a CpSc course to access MSDNAA. To be sure you have the chance to be familiar with the current software being used in the American workplace, we have set up a very easy distrubition system with the Instructional Media Center (IMC) at Bailey Library.
The IMC is located on the second floor of the library, in the back of the building. You present your student ID and the clerk will verify that you are currently enrolled in a CpSc course. You may then check out the original CDs for the package you desire (24 hour checkout only), and you will be given a label with its activation code. You should immediately burn a copy of the CD(s), affix the label, and return the original CD to the IMC. We suggest you do that right in the library using one of the many PCs available there.
That's all there is to it. You have a legal copy of the software that is yours to keep for as long as you wish.
