Cartographic functions

decoration, proximity and scaling
enhanced methods for pattern filling, irregular dot density,
line symbol decoration, (positioning of markers equidistantly instead of just at path vertices)
multiple lines with line offset.
non scaling stroke,
fitting labels to regions or area
map projections and coordinates for online mapping

Analytic functions-- spatial and logical relations to support such GIS functions as

spatial statistics,
buffering,
overlaying
networking

2.5D and 3D representation-

DEM (Digital Elevation Model) with contour lines,
3D representation of transportation models: knots, knots , weaving
underground pipe management with SVG.
